Despite rumours not circulating about his transfer, Sky Sports have just claimed that Everton are in advanced talks to sing Bordeaux winger Malcom. This also follows Tottenham’s pursuit of the winger which ultimately ended in failure after a January transfer saga.
The fee is rumoured to be around £30 million plus add ons, with a 5-year deal worth £80,000 per week. If the deal goes through, the Brazilian would provide an excellent acquisition to Marco Silva’s side in areas where reinforcement and quality is desperately needed. Malcom can operate on either wing and due to Bolasie closing in on a loan move to Fenerbache and Lookman’s future currently uncertain, Malcom proves to provide pace and dribbling ability but also mixes it with the end product that Yannick Bolasie failed to produce in his return from a long-term injury.
