Blues Linked To Fleetwood Defender

Everton are just one of a number of teams that are interested in 19 year old Fleetwood Town Defender, James Hill. According to the Daily Record Rangers, Burnley and Southampton are all interested and have had bids turned down this summer for the player. The Toffees, Manchester United and Liverpool have all scouted the Centre Back this season and with the defender’s contract expiring at the end of this season it seems likely that the player could be on the move this coming January.

Fleetwood Town owner, Andy Pilley had this to say about Hill;

“We know he’s destined for the very top. He’s playing regularly in the first team and we believe this helps to getting his dream move.

“He’s out of contract this summer, but we’re relaxed about his position because we’re entitled to compensation which will no doubt be significant.

“We’re at a stage now where we’re literally having to decline scouting requests because we’ve virtually got the entire Premier League coming along to watch him.”

Our Thoughts;

From what I have read up about the youngster he has some rave reviews and sounds like he has a very promising career ahead of him. The defender has already broke into the recent England U20’s squad and making his England U20 debut after coming on as a sub in their recent 6-1 win against Romania. It is one we will have to keep an eye on and see what happens in January.
