In a must-win game for the Toffees, Everton takes on Leicester City at The King Power Stadium.
Everton currently sits 2 points behind both Leeds United and Burnley with a game in hand.
3 points would take the Toffees a point above both sides and level on matches played going into the remaining few games.
Underwhelming Leicester City
Leicester looks to have had a relatively underwhelming season by their standards.
With Leicester City looking the unlikely side to achieve a European spot and crashing out of the Europa League to the Italian side, A.S. Roma, it seems somewhat of an unsuccessful campaign for Brendan Roger’s team.
With not much to play for, this surely would make for the perfect time for Everton to pounce on the Foxes after a recent run of unconvincing results.
Away Form
Everton must keep both feet firmly on the ground. The Toffee’s away form has been nothing short of abysmal this season and has struggled without the backing of the Everton faithful at Goodison Park.
This still sets itself up as a real challenge for Everton to overcome, as a win on the road would be sure to restore lost confidence and help the team kick on for the remaining matches.
Struggling Leeds United
Of course, Frank Lampard and the players will be abstaining from looking too much at the teams around them.
However, we can’t help but point out Leeds United’s troubling record against the top 6.
With Leeds away to Arsenal this Sunday and then at home to Chelsea through the week, it is the perfect time for Everton to put pressure on the West Yorkshire outfit before it’s too late.
Player To Watch – Richarlison
Everton will look to the main man, Richarlison, to help fire Everton forward once again in a highly competitive fixture.
The Brazilian born forward was integral last time against Chelsea and has showcased tremendous motivation to end his season on a high and help the Toffees pull themselves out of the mess they find themselves in.
Richarlison looks set to lead the line in a similar fashion to last week, with Demarai Gray and Anthony Gordon occupying the right and left flanks.
Player To Watch – Harvey Barnes
Harvey Barnes has really come into his own this season and has proved himself to be a top talent.
His direct style of play, stamina and turn of pace has made him a nuisance for opposition teams to defend against.
Barnes can potentially be devastating against Everton, and many wouldn’t put it past him to be hugely involved in tomorrow’s game.
He’s a player in waiting regarding regular England call ups.
Final Thoughts
Everton must win this game if the Toffees are to survive this season. A win gives the blues complete control in this relegation fight, and it would be a colossal mistake for Everton to let themselves down at such a critical moment.
