Bayern Munich are keeping a close eye on the developments surrounding Amadou Onana as the Belgian is a long time target for the German side
Sky Sports Reporter, Florian Plettenberg reported yesterday that Onana is still on Bayern Munich’s shortlist of players as they look to sign a midfielder this Summer.
Plettenberg went onto say that Bayern Munich’s main focus currently however is the appointment of a new head coach after a poor season from Thomas Tuchel.
The German reporter also said that the expected price for buying Onana from Everton is around €60-70 Million
Spanish Sports Site, Mundo Deportivo have reported today that Barcelona who hold an interest in Everton’s Belgian Midfielder will have to battle with Bayern to sign Onana.
Toffee Blues says;
4/5 – Overall it seems more than likely that Everton will sell one of their stars this Summer Transfer Window due to the financial issues that circle the club. Amadou Onana is a player who has been linked to numerous teams since joining and speculation will only continue the closer the Summer gets. Everton will need to try and get as much money as possible for their star players to keep the Premier League happy and to look to reinvest that into a currently struggling and depleted squad.
Onana seems to be an Everton marmite player, some parts of the fanbase rate him very highly and some see nothing more than a player who does a pass and doesn’t put the hard yards in. The blues will be a worse team without his presence in midfield and if he is to leave this Summer our recruitment team will do well to find someone with a similar ability for a cheap deal.
