Billy Crellin- Accrington Stanley- 22nd out of 24
Crellin endured a miserable week with Stanley, conceding eight goals in two games as The Reds were well and truly thrust back into the relegation battle.
Accrington now occupy a perilous position, sitting just six points clear of Morecambe with five games to go.
John Doolan’s side’s goal difference took another hammering after a 4-0 away defeat to Bromley, with the goalkeeper on hand to prevent any further damage- producing a number of fine saves.
Stanley host fellow strugglers Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
Jenson Metcalfe- Chesterfield- 10th out of 24
Metcalfe started both of Chesterfield’s games last week, as the Spireites’ play-off hopes took a dent after two disappointing results.
The midfielder was back on Merseyside last weekend, playing 76 minutes of the visitors’ shock 4-0 defeat to Tranmere Rovers, before retaining his place for a 1-1 home draw with Gillingham.
Chesterfield face Fleetwood Town next, needing a win to keep their promotion hopes alive.
Francis Okoronkwo- Salford City- 11th out of 24
Okoronkwo was absent from the matchday squad for the third straight week, as Salford drew 2-2 against Gillingham.
The Ammies travel to Notts County on Friday.
League One:
Harry Tyrer- Blackpool- 10th out of 24
Tyrer was a part of a Blackpool team that suffered late heartbreak at Rotherham on Saturday, losing 2-1 at the death to crush their play-off ambitions.
The Tangerines are now six points adrift in tenth, having played more than the teams above them.
The goalkeeper returns to action on April 18th, away to Stevenage.
Championship:
Mason Holgate- West Bromwich Albion- 8th out of 24
Holgate started West Brom’s 96th minute defeat to play-off rivals Bristol City, as The Baggies’ wretched run of form continues.
Tony Mowbray’s side are winless in their last five matches, and, having lost three on the spin, now find themselves outside of the top six.
Albion welcome Watford to The Hawthorns on Saturday, requiring a victory over The Hornets to stay in the race for promotion.
Harrison Armstrong- Derby County- 21st out of 24
Armstrong continued his fine run of form, as Derby’s fight for survival intensified after a 0-0 draw against high-flying Burnley.
The Rams sit one place above the relegation spot, level on points with Cardiff City below them.
The midfielder’s introduction to the side, along with the appointment of manager John Eustace, has revitalised County- who have now lost just one of their last six games.
They make the trip to Fratton Park next, with the chance to leapfrog Portsmouth should they win.
Scottish Premiership:
Elijah Campbell- Ross County- 10th out of 12
Campbell started County’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen, as Don Cowie’s side’s top six hopes were extinguished, with all eyes now firmly on staying in the division.
The defender is likely to start away to St. Mirren on Saturday, needing a victory to distance themselves from the bottom two.
Ligue 1:
Neal Maupay- Marseille- 2nd out of 18
Maupay started Marseille’s 3-2 win over Toulouse, as Roberto de Zerbi’s side ended a three-game losing run.
The striker failed to get on the scoresheet, before being subbed off shortly after half-time.
The French giants travel to AS Monaco next.
Northern Premier League:
Bradley Moonan- Prescot Cables- 9th out of 22
Moonan appeared as a late substitute as Cables saw out a 3-2 away win at Gainsborough Trinity.
The visitors notched a 93rd minute winner to make it four wins on the spin, with the defender introduced immediately after the celebrations.
The loanee’s next fixture comes on Saturday, at home to Stockton Town.
