League Two:
Billy Crellin- Accrington Stanley- 16th out of 24
Crellin continued his fine form with a fourth clean sheet in five games, as Accrington ended Chesterfield’s unbeaten home record with a convincing 3-0 away win.
The goalkeeper was helpless to prevent successive 2-2 draws, though, first to Swindon Town before a late collapse at AFC Wimbledon.
Crellin’s place in the side has coincided with a stark upturn in fortunes for the Reds, who have lost just one of their last eight matches.
Accrington travel to Bradford City on Tuesday, looking to continue their good run.
Jenson Metcalfe- Chesterfield- 11th out of 24
Metcalfe was absent from Chesterfield’s last three games, having picked up a heel injury in training last week.
The Spireites host Barrow on Saturday.
Francis Okoronkwo- Salford City- 14th out of 24
Okoronkwo featured in both of Salford’s league games last week, starting against Carlisle United and appearing as a sub at Doncaster Rovers.
The forward was brought off on 63 minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Carlisle, before being introduced in the 83rd minute of Saturday’s 1-1 draw.
Karl Robinson’s side face Bromley next.
League One:
Tyler Onyango- Stockport County- 4th out of 24
Onyango missed one of the finest weeks of Stockport’s season, with the defender ruled out of a 5-0 win to Bolton Wanderers, and a crucial 1-0 victory over Wrexham.
The defender picked up a knock in the FA Cup first round tie to Forest Green Rovers.
The Hatters travel to Burton Albion this weekend, looking to keep pressure on those above them.
Harry Tyrer- Blackpool- 18th out of 24
Tyrer remained on the bench for both of the Seasiders’ league fixtures, however was afforded a chance against Harrogate Town in the EFL Trophy in midweek.
The goalkeeper put in a strong display throughout the 90, and produced heroics in the shootout, saving a penalty in a 5-4 win.
Blackpool welcome Northampton Town to Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
Championship:
Mason Holgate- West Bromwich Albion- 5th out of 24
Holgate has become a mainstay in the Baggies’ side of late, playing a key role in ending their eight game winless run with a 2-1 away victory at Hull City.
The defender had been a part of a backline that kept an eighth clean sheet of the season at Turf Moor on Thursday night, before backing up his selection with another impressive display at the MKM Stadium.
Holgate’s solid form earned him another call-up to the Jamaican squad during the international break, although the 28-year-old was sent off in a 1-0 defeat against the USA.
Scottish Premiership:
Elijah Campbell- Ross County- 9th out of 12
Campbell completed another full 90 minutes for Don Cowie’s side, operating at left-back in a 3-0 away defeat to Dundee United.
The 20-year-old- who has started eight of the last nine games- was rewarded with a call-up to the England U20’s squad, where he played the entirety of both fixtures against Germany and Portugal.
Ross County play host to Motherwell after the break.
Ligue 1:
Neal Maupay- Marseille- 3rd out of 18
Marseille dropped to third in the table after a surprise 3-1 home loss to Auxerre.
Maupay was awarded a start after his goal last week, however the striker was dragged off at half-time with Roberto Di Zerbi’s side 3-0 down at the interval.
The 28-year-old was not called up by the French National Team.
Challenger Pro League:
Reece Welch- Deinze- 6th out of 16
Welch was an unused substitute in Deinze’s 1-1 away draw to Lommel SK.
The defender will be hoping for his first league start after the break, when they welcome Francs Borains.
