Crellin injured! Metcalfe’s promotion push!

League Two:

Billy Crellin- Accrington Stanley- 22nd out of 24

Crellin’s run of 37 consecutive games came to an end on Saturday, as the goalkeeper was ruled out of Accrington’s clash against Tranmere Rovers with an injury.

Stanley threw away a 3-0 lead in the loanee’s absence, courtesy of three late ‘screamers’ from the visitors.

John Doolan’s side travel to Salford City next, six points clear of relegation with four games to go.

 

Jenson Metcalfe- Chesterfield- 9th out of 24

Metcalfe played 74 minutes in Chesterfield’s comfortable 3-0 win over Fleetwood Town, as the Spireites revived their play-off hopes.

The midfielder is back in action at AFC Wimbledon on Friday, sitting four points behind seventh.

 

Francis Okoronkwo- Salford City- 10th out of 24

Okoronkwo was absent for both of Salford’s games this week, as The Ammies extended their unbeaten run to six matches.

They face Accrington Stanley next.

 

League One:

Harry Tyrer- Blackpool- 10th out of 24

Blackpool were without a game this week, and return to action away to Stevenage on Friday.

The Seasiders head to The Lamex Stadium nine points adrift of the play-offs with a game in hand on the teams above them.

 

Championship:

Mason Holgate- West Bromwich Albion- 7th out of 24

Holgate was an unused substitute as The Baggies ended their five-game winless run to strengthen their promotion push.

Albion make the trip to Coventry City on Friday needing a win to enter the top six.

 

Harrison Armstrong- Derby County- 21st out of 24

Armstrong was denied a crucial victory at the death, as The Rams drew 2-2 to Portsmouth.

John Eustace’s side twice led at Fratton Park, only to be pegged back by Rob Atkinson’s brace, dropping two points in injury time.

Derby host Luton Town next.

 

Scottish Premiership:

Elijah Campbell- Ross County- 10th out of 12

Campbell started County’s late 3-2 defeat at St. Mirren, as The Staggies were plunged even further into the relegation battle.

The defender travels to Kilmarnock next weekend, desperately in need of three points.

 

Ligue 1:

Neal Maupay- Marseille- 3rd out of 18

Maupay was an unused substitute as Marseille suffered a 3-0 away loss to AS Monaco.

The French giants run the risk of missing out on European football after a terrible run of form leaves them four points clear of seventh.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side welcome Montpellier to Stade Velodrome on Saturday.

 

Northern Premier League:

Bradley Moonan- Prescot Cables- 10th out of 22

Moonan wasn’t in the squad for Cables’ 1-0 home defeat to Stockton Town last week, as their four-game winning run came to an end.

The Merseysider’s are away to Workington AFC next.
