Sandro had a debut to forget for Sevilla as they where defeated 5-1 away at Eibar. He was withdrawn after 66 minutes. Sevilla sit 6th.
Greek League
Kevin Mirallas -Olympiacos
Kevin played 90 minutes upfront in Olympiacos’ 1-2 home defeat to AEK Athens. Olympiacos sit 3rd
Bundesliga
Ademola Lookman -RB Leipzig
As many of you are probably aware Ademola became the first Englishman to score in the Bundesliga for 13 years, and it happened 11 minutes into his debut. He scored a superb solo effort after 89 minutes to win the game for Leipzig 0-1 away at Gladbach. His gol conveniently came at around the same time the full time whistle went in Everton’s 5-1 defeat. Leipzig sit 3rd.
Championship
Joe Williams -Barnsley
Joe returned from his 3 match suspension and played 90 minutes in Barnsley’s 1-0 defeat at QPR. Joe received a 6/10 upon his return. Barnsley’s manager Paul Heckingbottom has since joined Leeds. Barnsley sit 21st.
Matthew Pennington -Leeds
Matthew played 90 minutes in Thomas Christensen’s final game as Leeds Manager a 1-4 home defeat to Cardiff. Matthew received a 4/10 and was deemed ‘more comforting in a 3 than a 2, poor game’. Leeds sit 10th.
Mo Besic -Middlesbrough
Mo was an unused substitute for Middlesbrough in the 1-0 defeat at Norwich following his deadline day move. Middlesbrough sit 9th.
Harry Charsley and Antonee Robinson-Bolton Wanderers
Harry wasn’t included in Bolton’s 18 man squad for the 1-0 victory over Bristol City.
Antonee on the other hand played the full 90 minutes and produced a superb back heel assist for Ameobi’s goal. This lad gets better every time I see him. He received and 8/10 for his performance. He was described as ‘directness and pace were a joy to watch at times but what was more impressive was his link-up passing with both Ameobi and Tyler Walker. Out of all our loanees he is my favourite and we are very fortunate that Everton can’t recall him. His back-heeled flick for Ameobi for the goal was a stroke of genius too’ Bolton sit 20th.
Kieran Dowell -Nottingham Forest
Kieran played 90 minutes in Forest’s first game this week, a 0-3 defeat at Home to Preston and received a 5/10 and was labelled ‘ineffective’. He then played 70 minutes in the 2-0 defeat at Fulham and was again labelled ‘ineffective’ and revived a 5/10 rating. Forest sit 16th.
Callum Connolly-Ipswich Town
Callum played 90 minutes in Ipswich’s 0-2 win at Sunderland. He was described as
‘Tenacious, ambitious and solid – another good performance from Connolly. He seems to be growing in stature as the season goes on, with his ability to shield the defence and move the ball forward helping his side. 7/10’. Ipswich sit 12th.
Tyias Browning -Sunderland
In Sunderland’s first game this week, Tyias played 90 minutes in a 3-1 defeat to Birmingham and received a 4/10 and was labelled ‘weak’. Tyias played 90 minutes again the second game this week the 0-2 defeat to Ipswich and received a 5/10. Sunderland sit 23rd.
