PREVIEW | Watford v Everton

The Blues are back after a break from action since the traumatising 2-2 draw with Newcastle and have a difficult task to a rejuvenated Watford side at Vicarge Road. A ground the Toffees haven’t won at since the Hornets regained promotion to the Premier League.

Pearson’s turn in form has recently came to a halt with defeats to Tranmere and Aston Villa whereas the Toffees return on the back of a ten day break following the calamity against Newcastle.

Team news: Everton have Alex Iwobi, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison back from injury. André Gomes has stepped up his return to the side by training with the first team, whereas JP Gbamin has had a further set back. Lossl is to leave the club, and as I write this, Niasse and Martina are still on the books.. gulp.

Predicted XI: Pickford; Sidibe, Mina, Holgate, Digne; Richarlison, Delph, Sigurdsson, Bernard; Kean, Calvert-Lewin.

The hosts are with a number of doubts, Welbeck, Will Hughes, Tom Cleverley and Nathaniel Chalobah all have fitness tests. Sarr, Prodl, Femenia and Janmaat are all out.

Carlo’s men have the chance to bounce back here but face a difficult task, BUT I’ll still go with an away win..

Prediction; Watford 1-3 Everton.
