Lucas Digne has completed his move to fellow Premier League side Aston Villa on an undisclosed fee.
The French Left Back joined the blues for a fee of £18 Million back in the summer of 2018 under the reign of Marco Silva and played 127 times for Everton, scoring 6 goals.
Manager Rafa Benitez and Digne reportedly came to blows regarding tactics after the defeat to Liverpool at Goodison Park back on the 1st of December. This would be Digne’s final game in an Everton shirt with Benitez dropping the France international out of the match day squad up until the 3-1 defeat to Brighton on the 2nd of January where Digne made the bench but was not substituted onto the pitch.
The departure of the Left Back has been met by disappointment from a lot of the Everton fanbase, questioning the manager and the club.
