Along with reports of Colombian international Yerry Mina being the subject of rumoured interest from Everton, Paco Alcacer is also being lined up with a deal in excess of £25 million. The Spanish forward is a long way down the pecking order at the Catalonian giants after failing to make an impact and the Spanish outfit are looking to cash in on their disappointing mistake.
Despite not having regular playing time in the past two seasons, Alcacer is still one of Spain’s most clinical strikers and if partnered together with Cenk Tosun, the duo should form a formidable striking partnership. The power and finishing of Cenk Tosun should compliment Alcacer’s attributes well however Marco Silva has already outlined his desire to employ a 4-3-3 formation which only has room for a single striker.
With young forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin showing plenty of promise when filling in for the first half of the season at Goodison, it is unlikely Silva will make a move for another striker as it is not the priority in terms of improving the squad this summer. As well as this, the reports are very preliminary and has failed to gain any substance as of yet.
