Everton and Borussia Dortmund have approached Stade Rennais over midfielder James Lea-Siliki, according to L’Equipe this morning.
Siliki may be a relatively unknown name to most Everton fans before Rennais’ 4-1 thrashing of the Blues in pre-season where Siliki himself bagged a goal and three assists.
Everton have made an approach, but according to L’Equipe Rennes are standing strong and are planning on rejecting any offers for the player.
There is no talk of a fee or contract as of yet – so this move could be a slow-burner.
What do you think Blues? After having a blinder of a game against us, would he be able to produce in the Premier League?
