Everton are reportedly interested in Strasbourg Midfielder Habib Diarra, although Strasbourg do not want the 20 year old Senegalese talent to depart this summer according to L’Equipe
The young talent has already appeared in 69 games for Strasbourg, scoring 7 and managing 5 assists. Diarra has played for France’s youth teams from 2020 to 2023 but now represents Senegal, making his debut in March of this year. Everton has been following him for months according to Loic Tanzi of L’Equipe
Diarra’s contract isn’t up until 2028 so the Toffees would have to not only convince the player but offer Strasbourg a considerable deal to get this over the line. The right footed attacking Midfielder can play in midfield or on the left wing and would add creativity to the Everton lineup, something they’ve needed for many seasons now.
Everton have a lot to consider in the 20 year old and we will keep watch to see if Diarra can join Senegal teammates Idrissa Gana Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye
Toffee Blues Says:
3/5 – While it isn’t necessarily likely this deal happens, the interest from Everton is real. Everton need to add more creative skilled players to help score goals, something they’ve been woeful at over the recent years. The blues will continue monitoring Diarra and they could potentially look to turn their interest into a formal offer before the close of the August transfer window. But unless Everton offer a handsome fee it’s unlikely Strasbourg sells the player currently. We’ll continue to monitor Everton’s interest in Diarra…
