Everton are apparently leading against Southampton in the race for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.
Everton have been linked with the 28 year old a good few times since the transfer window has opened and according to The Daily Mail Everton are ahead of Southampton in the race to sign him as Everton can offer closer to Theo’s wage which is said to be about £110,000 per week.
Walcott has only made 5 Premier League appearances this season for Arsenal with his last being off the bench for 2 minutes in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw at home against champions Chelsea.
While only managing 5 Premier League games this season, Theo has played 14 games overall this season including Europa League, The Carabao Cup and The FA Cup and he has managed overall 4 goals and 2 assists. Last season he managed 19 goals in all competitions which is an impressive return.
