Everton have received contact from Burnley and Leeds United for their winger Aaron Lennon.
Lennon, 30, is out of contract at the end of the season and talks have not surfaced about a new one. Lennon grew up in Leeds and came up through the Leeds academy before his big move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Burnley are also interested in Lennon, as a short-term replacement for Robbie Brady who is injured, News website HITC reports that Burnley have offered £1.5 million for Lennon.
Leeds are yet to make an offer though, but many reports suggest they are being heavily encouraged to challenge Burnley for his signature.
Lennon has been a key part of the Everton squad since Ronald Koeman was sacked. He played naerly every game under Unsworth and now he is a key member of Allardyce’s squad. It’s possible that Sam maybe looking to dive into the market to replace Lennon, who is ageing and out of contract soon.
With Nikola Vlasic coming back to the squad and also Yannick Bolasie, competition is hotting up and there’s a chance that Aaron may have fallen down the pecking order.
This deal is a realistic one – and definitely could happen.
