Left-Back Luke Garbutt has joined League One outfit Oxford United on a season-long loan and will fly to Ireland to join the team’s pre-season tour.
Garbutt has never been able to break into the starting 11 despite often being claimed to provide backup to Leighton Baines or as an eventual replacement but despite the Everton veteran’s injury this season, Cuco Martina was preferred as deputy.
Marco silva and Marcel Brands have clearly decided Garbutt is not part of their future plans and this would also signal an incoming left-back in the 2018/19 summer window.
