A quick player ratings of the players performances from tonight’s disappointing draw with Apollon Limassol
Jordan Pickford – 6
Jordan didn’t really do much wrong this game in all honesty. Tried his best to stop the first goal from going in and couldn’t prevent the second.
Jonjoe Kenny – 6
Jonjoe took awhile to get into the game. He was decent in defence and got stuck in at times when needed. Attacked Apollon’s ;eft hand side numerous times, could have done a bit better but so could have the entire team. Almost scored near the end if it wasn’t for a last minute block on goal
Ashley Williams – 4
Yet again Ashley has made a mistake and costed us another goal. With injuries plaguing Everton’s centre of defence you have to ask yourself if he stays in this form will he even continue being in the line up anymore?
Mason Holgate – 6
Mason didn’t play his best of games but didn’t play his worst either. Some decent tackles and even a good run forward to show that Everton do have an attacking side at times.
Leighton Baines – 5
Bainesy didn’t do much today I’ll say. Too many times I seen a pass back or a pass sideways, a good few opportunitys to run down the wing with the ball and attack but didn’t take the option
Tom Davies – 6
Didn’t play amazing today Tom, kept losing the ball or giving the ball away easily. Tested the keeper from long range with a decent effort. Hopefully it’s just one of those days for him and a better performance on Sunday.
Idrissa Gana Gueye – 6
Took off at half time to make way for Vlasic. Gana didn’t really set the world alight this game very similar to Schneiderlin just didn’t seem up to it was a case of some good and some sloppy play. For some reason was playing right wing at times but that’s not his fault.
Morgan Schneiderlin – 6
Yet again like Gana some good, but some sloppy play. Second half his game changed a bit and was looking for more forward balls.
Gylfi Sigurdsson – 6
An assist for Gylfi for Vlasic’s goal. Had a decent effort on goal with a free kick. The second half he seemed to grow into the game more.
Wayne Rooney – 6
Scored probably the easiest goal you’l see all season. I really couldn’t tell where Wayne was playing but haven’t been able to tell for weeks in all honesty.
Sandro – 6
The lad is all work and no goal at the minute. You really just want him to get that first goal and see his confidence rise.

Davy Klaassen – 6
A decent little cameo from Davy in all honesty. Some decent touches and runs with the ball. More promising from him.
Nikola Vlasic – 8
The lad was literally the only bright spark of the game and the only positive. Some great runs and fast movement from Niksi. Got some fast feet on him. Nice tidy little finish to put us 2-1 which should of won us the game. Eaisly Man Of The Match.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 7
The lad wasn’t on the pitch for long and almost scored and should have scored and buried a free header into the Gwladys Street net. Looking positive for Dom though and excited to see him start more games up top and centre for Everton.
And that is that! Not the result and performance anybody would have wanted. Can only hope for a better one against Burnley on Sunday. COYB!
